Can anyone take the test?
The PlanAhead™ test has been designed for women interested in understanding their biological clock.
- The test can only be taken if you have been off your contraceptive medication (i.e. the pill, the ring or the patch) for at least one full month.
- Women with irregular periods (outside a cycle of 27-35 days) will be unable to take the test.
- Women using the Mirena coil, contraceptive implants, or contraceptive injections will also be unable to take the test.
PlanAhead™ is not yet cleared by the FDA and utilizes some components which carry the label “for research use only.” While the performance of this test has been determined by extensive testing by Repromedix in its laboratory, we are engaged in an ongoing research and validation program. Until FDA clearance is obtained, PlanAhead carries the label: “For investigational use only. The performance characteristics of this product have not been established.”
