About PlanAhead™

A breakthrough test for Ovarian Reserve

PlanAhead is a multi-variate blood hormone test that uses advanced measurements of the ovarian hormones Inhibin B, AMH and FSH. By combining these three tests and other factors, we are offering the single most accurate ovarian reserve blood test available in the world today.

  • AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) is secreted from the cells surrounding immature eggs. Studies have shown a strong correlation between AMH levels and antral follicle counts.
  • FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) is secreted by the pituitary gland, and stimulates the development of ovarian follicles (eggs).
  • Inhibin B is a protein hormone produced by the egg follicles and has been shown to directly correlate with the number of eggs in the ovaries.

Analysis of these three hormone levels and other factors provides an estimate of the number of eggs in the ovaries (your ovarian reserve) and enables us to compare your results with the expected range for women your age. This comparative value is called your Ovarian Reserve Index.

Your Ovarian Reserve Index will be charted in an easy-to-read report with a full explanation of your results.

PlanAhead™ is not yet cleared by the FDA and utilizes some components which carry the label “for research use only.” While the performance of this test has been determined by extensive testing by Repromedix in its laboratory, we are engaged in an ongoing research and validation program. Until FDA clearance is obtained, PlanAhead carries the label: “For investigational use only. The performance characteristics of this product have not been established.”
